Bio
James Pink, MIPEM, is the Director of Research and Development at RegNav and a seasoned expert in medical product safety with over 25 years of experience. His career spans roles in medical physics and clinical engineering at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield, auditing and teaching with BSI Notified Body, and leading high-profile safety and risk management projects, including the COVID-19 ventilator scale-up efforts. James founded the Medical Device Risk Management LinkedIn group, now boasting over 15,000 members.
Holding an MBA from the University of Manchester, his research focused on predicting product safety failures using probabilistic theory. At RegNav, he leverages AI and data science to enhance compliance processes throughout the medical device lifecycle. An active educator and member of TOPRA, IPEM, and CQI, James is dedicated to advancing the professionalization of medical device safety through knowledge, resources, and networks.
